UConn likely to open Puerto Rico tourney vs. Charleston
Nothing's completely set in stone yet, but it looks like UConn will face College of Charleston in its first-round Puerto Rico Tip-Off Tournament game on Nov. 20 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
We're hearing UConn, Charleston, Dayton and Texas A&M will be on one side of the bracket, with Boston College, New Mexico, George Mason and West Virginia on the other. That means the only way UConn would play old Big East rival Boston College for a second straight season would be in the championship game on Nov. 23 (or the consolation game that day).
The UConn-Charleston opener would be at 12:30 p.m. on espn2.
Brackets probably won't be officially announced until the middle of next week.
