Will Jackson Commits to UConn

As first reported by @OntheRadarHoops via Twitter, Will Jackson has committed to play at UConn.

Jackson is a 6-foot-5, Class of 2015 point guard out of Athens Christian School in Georgia. He visited UConn for First Night festivities and is the school's second 2015 commit, along with shooting guard Prince Ali.

UConn certainly will have a loaded backcourt in 2015-16, with Jackson, Ali, Rodney Purvis, Terrence Samuel, Daniel Hamilton, Omar Calhoun and Sam Cassell, Jr. ostensibly all in the fold. It would seem that now, UConn's prime recruiting focus will be on big men.

Dave do you think with KO at the helm now he is changing the mindset of UConn basketball from a big man/front court mindset to new guard oreinted teams? Just thinking back to all the success JC had with teams with bigs that consisitently led the nation in blocks and seemed to just dominate the paint. Hope KO does not forgot the style of UConn ball that was so successful in the past.

No doubt, Ollie loves big, the athletic guards. Fits his style of play. But they also recognize the need for big men and rebounding. Can't run much if you don't rebound. Their recruiting focus will now squarely be on bigs.
