Kentan Facey, Terrence Samuel Finalists for Mr. New York Basketball
UConn commits Kentan Facey and Terrence Samuel are among the five finalists for this year's Mr. New York Basketball award. They join Jermaine Crumpton, Jon Severe and Adam Weir on the list, which was announced by the Basketball Coaches Association of New York on Thursday.
Meanwhile, UConn women's recruit Saniya Chong made the final five for the Miss New York Basketball award.
Samuel is averaging 15 points, six assists and five rebounds for South Shore High. Facey, a 6-foot-8 forward, leads Long Island Lutheran, the state's top-ranked Class AA team.
