Sam Cassell, Jr. and Daniel Hamilton are watching UConn's terrific NCAA tourney run intently -- on their cell phones.

Cassell was on a plane flight from Baltimore back to Chipola College on Sunday when the Huskies finished off Michigan State.

“When they won, I didn’t mean to yell it, but I just yelled, ‘Husky Nation!’” Cassell admitted. “A few people on the plane looked at me and smiled.”

Of course, now that he's back at Chipola, smack dab in the Florida panhandle, he'll have to watch Saturday's game in Gator Country. He'll still be pulling hard for the Huskies, of course.

“Definitely,” he confirmed. "Shut these Florida Gators (fans) up.”

*** Elsewhere, while TBS will be airing the UConn-Florida game on Saturday at 6:09 p.m., Husky fans can watch a "homer" broadcast on truTV at the same time. The game will be broadcast on that channel by CSN New England's (and former Red Sox NESN man) Eric Frede. Donny Marshall and Swin Cash will provide commentary.

Florida's "homer" broadcast will be on TNT.
