Report: Leon Tolksdorf Commits to UConn

It looks like UConn's has added to its German connection.

According to therecruitscoop.com, the Huskies have landed a commitment from Leon Tolksdorf, a 6-foot-7 forward from Berlin. That's Berlin, Germany, not the Berlin with the turnpike and the summer fair.

Tolksdorf is labeled as a shooter. In 21 games last season for ALBA Berlin II, he averaged 5.2 points in 14.2 minutes per game. He shot 40 percent from the floor and 34.1 percent from beyond the arc, and 71.4 percent from the foul line.

He joins 6-5 Omar Calhoun and 6-11 Phil Nolan as 2012 incoming recruits for UConn. He also joins juniors Niels Giffey and Enosch Wolf as UConn players from Deutschland.

And here's the obligatory highlight video:

Sweet Jesus, this looks like the Zapruder Film. This could easily be video of Chip Malafronte playing pickup ball at the High Plains Community Center in Orange.
