My Top 25

Couldn't punish UConn too much for its first loss of the season, on the road in one of the more hostile environments in the county, against a big, experienced Pitt team that's probably the Big East's best.

Dropped them from No. 5 to 7 on my ballot, and I'm betting most voters did similar. Otherwise, bumped Temple and Washington State and added UNLV and Washington this week.

Just curious how writers get a vote for the AP poll? Doesn't seem like that many so that's a pretty big deal, no?

There are 65 voters, each representing different states. Some states (New Hampshire, Maine, etc.) have no voters, others (New York, California, North Carolina) get three. Connecticut gets one, and I'm it this year. There are also, I believe, three national voters.

David, how do you feel about the ending of the Notre Dame game last night??? I find it hard to blame Shabazz for the final shot when Calhoun could have called the timeout.
