Tuesday at 2 p.m. vs. Johnnies
UConn will open Big East tournament play on Tuesday at 2 p.m. as the tourney's 12th seed. The Huskies will play No. 13 seed St. John's, whom they defeated 75-59 in Hartford on Jan. 20 -- the first of seven games Jim Calhoun missed on medical leave.
The Johnnies, of course, will be playing on their home floor, which may give them a little more incentive on Tuesday. (Does anybody call them the Johnnies anymore, by the way?).

Dave do you think Calhoun will go with there young lineup for the BE Tourney and (most likely) the NIT?
I like the idea....I think Stix and Dyson packed it in already for the NBA
I think Dyson, Robinson and Edwards will start the game on the bench. I think Calhoun will give Dyson and Robinson another chance and get them in fairly early on (maybe not 'til 10 minutes in). If they continue to play like zombies, they're done.
Edwards, I think, will get his usual run off the bench.
I really have never seen a UConn team like this in many years. I like Dyson but him and Robinson better brush up on their foreign languages because neither of them will be playing in the NBA. They deserve to be on the bench. Dyson and Robinson just don't play hard all of the time. You just don't see that on the top teams in the country. Gavin plays hard but he is just not quick enough on defense. Kemba is starting to come around. As soon as he stops taking it to the hole against the trees, he will be much more effective. Oriahki is really bad defensively and offensively. Majok....I hope the quote "One and done" is still applicable. He better start hitting the books.
